Information about Bielefeld

Away from the big tourist centres, the university town of Bielefeld (320,000 inhabitants) with its historical festivals, colourful markets and friendly pubs, its inviting shopping arcades and lively theatre and concert scene, is the ideal place to get to know the language, country and people, culture and way of life. Nestling in the gentle, rolling hills of the Teutoburger Forest, Bielefeld has all the advantages of a big city, whilst its numerous parks offer peace and recreation, even in the busiest parts.  Only a couple of minutes from the city centre you’ll find our school, where the individual attention and friendly atmosphere ensure that you quickly feel at home.
If you want to get to know a typical German city, but find big cities too anonymous and villages too boring, if you like nature and the countryside but enjoy going out in the evenings then come to Bielefeld!
