Our school

Participants from all over the world and our school’s personal, friendly atmosphere combine to make the learning interesting and varied. All the courses take place in our pleasant, sunny classrooms in the city centre – only 5 minutes away from the main shopping area.

Accreditations:
TANDEM® Bielefeld is licensed by the European Language Certificates (TELC). We prepare our students for internationally recognised language examinations. All European language certificates (TELC) can be regularly taken at the school. Our German courses are also recognized by the German Immigration Ministry. Furthermore, we are certified by CSN (Centrala studiestödsnämden) in Sweden for students who are planning on studying German as a foreign language abroad.

Our lectures

An important component of the classes at Tandem® includes the idea of intercultural learning. Learning a language through direct contact with teachers who are native speakers anables the student to immerse him*herself in the language and culture. For those who want to learn a language at Tandem, it is the most effective and efficiant way. You will have fun and experience the pleasure of learning foreign languages.

Our method 

Our classes are oral based, that means we pay special attention and emphasize speaking. The classes are conducted exclusively in the foreign language which is been tought. This allows the student to aquire a better understanding of the culture and to successfully express him or herself in that language.

Grammar 

Naturally grammar plays an important roll in the language. It is not only explained but also immediately applied in the classroom setting.

Small groups 

We are conscious of the fact that small groups are the success to speaking effectively. Therefore we can ensure that our students will have the opportunity to converse and express themselves

Class sizes: 8 – 16 people in our German courses.
